MUSKETEERS DIRECTOR OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENTĀ CORY McCRACKEN JOINS MINNESOTA STATEĀ
Sioux City, IA (July 24th, 2023) - The Sioux City Musketeers today have announced that Director of Player Development, Cory McCracken has been hired by the Minnesota State University Men's Hockey as an assistant coach.Ā
McCracken becomes the fourth former Musketeer to become a member of the Mavericks coaching staff. He joins the likes of Luke Strand (head coach), Troy G. Ward (associate head coach) and Keith Paulsen (assistant coach) in MankatoĀ
"My time in Sioux City has been exceptional, it is truly a first class organization," said Cory McCracken." I am grateful for the opportunity while at the same time excited to follow fellow Musketeers to Minnesota State. I have a good relationship with Coach Strand and I am humbled with the opportunity to join his staff in Mankato. I wish Sioux City nothing but the best moving forward."Ā
The Wisconsin native has held the Sioux City Director of Player Development position since the 2022 season. He was also the head coach at Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay, WI for 17 seasons where he compiled two state championships and over 300 wins.Ā

Sioux City opens up their 2023-24 season at the DICK'S Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic on September 21st versus Chicago. The Musketeers first home game is on Friday, October 6th at 7:05 pm versus the Waterloo Black Hawks at the Tyson Events Center.
