SIOUX CITY MUSKETEERS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Schedule & Requirements
- Internship program runs from September 23rd - April 13th (Possibly into May as well, depending on post season play)
- Interns are required to work every Sioux City Musketeers home game (30). Certain internship positions are required to assist with Musketeer road games, remotely.
- Some internship positions require work outside of Musketeer game days, including week day/week nights.

GAMEDAY OPERATIONS
The Sioux City Musketeers are looking for individuals who want to be in the behind the scenes action during gamedays. We’re looking for people who want to help make the magic happen for in game promotions, contests and events that make coming to Musketeer games
- Assist in setting up for Musketeer game days. Both on game days and days prior to games. Amount of days of set up prior to Gameday depends on Tyson Events Center event schedule.
- Assist in hanging up, sponsorship signs, country flags, visitor tunnel banner, Musketeer tunnel lights etc etc.
- Help in the distribution of flyers to local area businesses to help promote upcoming Musketeer games, promotions and events.
- Assist in the making of the nightly script read by the PA Announcer. Some game days may require you to write the entire script yourself.
- Assist in planning, preparing and executing nightly promotions such as chuck-a-puck, disaster dash, goal t-shirt toss, minute to win it and more
- Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of other non-nightly promotional events. Boy Scout and Girl Scout Night ceremonies, champions day ceremonies, hometown heroes ceremony, opening night ceremony etc etc.
- Work closely with our on ice emcee prior to and during the game about the in game contests, and getting contestants for said contests.
- On certain dates, working with fellow staff members to tear down signs, flags, lights and anything else required immediately following a game.
- Assist with other Gameday promotional events such as giveaways, raffles, auctions etc.

GAMEDAY PRODUCTION
We are looking for skilled individuals who wish to help aid the Musketeers game day experience on a more technical side. Such as music, lighting and video. If you have a passion for sound, lights or video production this is the internship for you.
- Learn each system of the production side of the Sioux City Musketeers, video, music and lights. How each works both separately and together.
- Working with coaches, players and front office staff create a music playlist for warm ups, in game by situation, and for promotions.
- Assist Kevin Hurley with any in game video production.
- Learn the lighting system and be able to execute lighting function in game for events such as; goals, introductions, ceremonies etc.

DIGITAL MEDIA
The Musketeers are looking for individuals who are interested and passionate about sports media, social media and digital media. We are looking for people who are creative, inspired and willing to work in a thriving, collaborative and competitive area of sports business.
- Assist in creating graphics for Musketeers promotional events, upcoming games, giveaways for both social media, emails, text, in arena video boards and flyers.
- Creating content for social media: graphics, videos, photography etc
- When available, attending social community events with the Sioux City Musketeers to document and promote the team being in the community.
- In game duties include:

- recording videos of our promotional games and posting them to social media with proper tags to sponsors.
- Clipping live game highlights as they happen and posting to social media with trendy team friendly captions, and appropriate tags and hashtags.
- Live tweeting events like penalties, opposing goals etc.
- Updating or creating live graphics on the fly mid-game such as period score updates, final scores, line charts, milestones and other game specific graphics (hat tricks, shutouts etc.)
- These duties also apply to covering Musketeer road games, live social media updates, graphics and live game highlights.
This position requires some knowledge of adobe products such as Adobe Photoshop, Premier Pro, Illustrator, After Effects, In Design etc. And while we are absolutely willing to help teach and enhance your skills in these programs we do require some examples of previous work.
