MUSKETEERS MAKE ROSTER OFFICIAL AHEAD OF SEASON OPENER
Sioux City, IA (September 20th, 2023) - The Sioux City Musketeers have announced their full 26-man roster ahead of the beginning of the 2023-24 USHL regular season.
The Musketeers have 14 players returning from last season's roster. This includes six defensemen and eight forwards.
Nine players were drafted this past May, eight being from the Phase II draft, only Cole Tuminaro, was a Phase I selection.
Three players were traded for, Jonah Aegerter was added this summer in a deal with the Madison Capitols. Tate Pritchard came over in an exchange with Waterloo earlier this week. Giacomo Martino was a part of the future considerations from the Garrett Brown trade last season.
Of the total roster, 19 are currently committed to play collegiately at a Division I school
Dylan Godbout is the leading returning scorer, he tallied 47 points last season with 14 goals and 33 assists and was the only Musketeer to play in all 62 regular season games and both postseason games.
Kaden Shahan leads the returners in goal scoring, he tallied 20 last year for third most on the team. His +10 in the plus/minus column is also the leading tally for returning players.
On the blue line, Ty Hanson and Finn Loftus lead a talented and experienced group. Hanson led all defenseman with 25 points on four goals and 21 assists and carried a plus/minus of +4. Loftus appeared in all but one game for Sioux City and authored a 22 point season with five goals and 22 assists.
Between the pipes, Sioux City brings back Samuel Urban who suited up for four games last season. He was 2-0-0 with a 2.80 GAA and a 0.918 save percentage. Jakub Krbecek also joins the fray. In three games this preseason, the Czech Republic native has gone 2-0-0 with a 2.18 GAA and a 0.895 save percentage.
The Musketeers represent four countries (United States, Canada, Czech Republic and Slovakia). And eleven different states (AK, CA, IL, MA, MI, MO, MN, NJ, NY, WA, WI)

The Sioux City Musketeers open their 52nd season in Siouxland on September 21st when they face the Chicago Steel in the DICK's Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic. They open their home schedule when they face the Waterloo Black Hawks at the Tyson Events Center on Friday October 6th at 7:05 pm.
