KADEN SHAHAN NAMED TO 2023 U.S. JUNIOR SELECT TEAM
Musketeers Leading Goal Scorer Named to United States International Team
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey announced today the 22 players named to the 2023 U.S. Junior Select Team that will compete at the 2023 World Junior A Challenge from December 10-17 in Truro, Nova Scotia. Sioux City Musketeers forward, Kaden Shahan, was named to this years roster.
Shahan is currently leading the Musketeers and the USHL with 15 goals, and third in the league with 20 points through 15 games.
The Everrett, Washington native is in his second season with the Musketeers. In 2022-23, Shahan played in 55 games, racking up 31 points on 20 goals and 11 assists. His 20 goals last season finished him third most on the Musketeers.
Shahan recently signed his National Letter of Intent to play collegiately at the University of Connecticut.
All 22 players on Team USA currently compete in the United States Hockey League, the nation's only tier I junior hockey league.
The U.S. opens tournament play on Dec. 11 against Slovakia at 2:30 p.m. ET.
